  If you compete in track and field you need to pick the correct track spikes for your track and field event. Different track and field events call for different types of running shoes or spikes. No matter what event you be distance, sprinter, jumper, or thrower there are different shoes to help your performance and give you the best support. The throwing events like shot put and discus have shoes that are high-to and no spikes in them; the bottoms are smooth to help with the spinning movements in these events. Javelin throwers have high-top shoes with spikes on both the foot and the heel. The heel spikes help with your plant foot so you do not slip when you throw. Most of the time long jumpers wear sprinting spikes. High jumpers and pole vaulters wear spike that have spikes on the foot and heel, however, these are not high top.

A lot of pole vaulters will wear mid-distance or sprinting spikes because it is easier to run faster, many vaulters like the mid-distance spikes better. Generally the mid-distance and sprinting track shoe spikes are much lighter than the pole vault spikes. Shoe weight plays a huge part in how fast you can run and your ability to have more power in the air to swing up. Running fast is a huge component of pole vault. Really, whatever you feel most comfortable wearing is best for you. Remember get something with spikes though because it will give you more traction, especially if it is wet and slippery outside.

 Proper footwear is most important, as wearing clothes when working out. You will have a ton of discomfort if you are doing your workouts without a comfortable weight lifting shoe. It is necessary for weight lifting to find the right pair of shoes, which is comfortable along with a good grip traction. Proper shoes are important for everything when it comes to exercise; they make your body move better and more comfortably and less chance of getting injured from no support around the ankles. If you have improper biomechanics correct tennis shoes can correct that. Wearing the correct shoes can prevent injury. It is not good to wear a big shoe because you can fall while working out, your shoes could slip off and or you could get friction blisters.

 The same is true with small shoes can hurt your feet as well. This can lead to soreness, blisters, and or distress. Your weight lifting shoes need good traction with grip. This can keep you from slipping. If the shoes are slippery then there are some chances of accident thus leading to injury. It is general thing that athlete’s clothes vary according to the type of work out. This can be said for your shoes as well. There are different shoes for different sports such spiked shoe, cricket shoes, and football shoes. Many of these shoes are designed according to the sport thus there are some special weight lifting shoes purposely designed for the weight lifter.

 The first designed weight lifting shoes has two features, first it raises the ankle mobility and secondly it supports the ankle joint. The modern weight lifting shoes are designed in such a manner without any leather soles and with a heavy grip. In this way it provides a lot of protection to the ankle joint. Rather than going for a designer shoe one must particularly follow the scientifically designed shoes for weight lifting. Proper fitting shoes are always better for the weight lifter.
